Description
Coaching Self-Defense: Foundations
A three-day intensive for coaches who want to coach self-defense effectively, not just check boxes.
Overview
Coaching Self-Defense: Foundations is a hands-on course for coaches, instructors, and self-defense professionals who want to build real coaching capability, not collect another certificate.
This isn’t a system-specific course. Whether you coach Modern Krav Maga™, another self-defense discipline, BJJ, law enforcement training, or general fitness with a self-defense component, Foundations is built around the coaching methodology behind The Incomplete Guide to Coaching Self-Defense — the same standard, applied in the room, over three full days of hands-on work (NOTE: Modern Krav Maga™ is modeled during the course, as the working example).
What You’ll Walk Away With
- A coaching framework you can apply regardless of system or discipline
- Direct, in-person feedback on your own coaching — not just lecture and demonstration
- A tested standard for what capable self-defense coaching actually looks like, beyond credentials
- A foundation that also serves as the required first step toward Modern Krav Maga™ Level 2, for coaches continuing further into that system
Who This Is For
Coaches and instructors, any system or background, who want to sharpen how they coach, not just what they teach. If you’ve read The Incomplete Guide to Coaching Self-Defense, this is where that philosophy becomes practice. If you haven’t, this course stands entirely on its own.
