OVERVIEW
Violent encounters happen with the attacker in close proximity to the defender. Being able to fight when pinned against a wall or car, or while in a bedroom or living room, or when in a office or movie theater, with limited space and virtually ubiquitous obstacles, is a vital piece of self defense training, that is most often overlooked.
In the Fit to Fight® CQC/Confined Spaces program, recognizing when these things are a liability and when they are an asset, is an integral part of the progression. Taking principles and tactics from other Fit to Fight® programs, and modifying them for a less forgiving environment than a traditional training space, prepares students to deal with the most likely context; fighting in realistic environments.
